Buon Natale, tutti! It’s not Christmas without Dominic the Donkey!
Some of my favorite lines from the song:
“because the reindeer cannot climb the hills of Italy” - one of my roommates pointed out to me that Santa’s reindeer are supposed to fly anyway…oh well, Dominic is still awesome!
“A pair of shoes for Louie and a dress for Josephine; the label on the inside says their made in Brook-a-lin” - the “Brook-a-lin” pronunciation is so on point. Also, the fact that the children get clothes - Nonna never bought me toys when I was little. Gotta love being Italian American.
“They talk Italian to him and he even understands” - This line reminds me of how I made friends with an adorable puppy in a piazza near the Via Condotti because I spoke to him in Italian :)
